A great Cydia app to install is iCleaner

I freed 716MB when I ran it the first time. Clears out caches, temp files, etc. Looks like a majority of my space was taken up from AlienBlue, Spotify, and Facebook.

Anytime u get a safe mode error go back and uninstall whatever app u were just installing...this caused ur problem! U don't have to reinstall and/or restore. Lots of these jailbreak apps n themes n stuff aren't set up for the iPhone 5 yet specifically even if they work with ios6. Seems to me that any mod attempting to modify the height of the screen will cause error including most themes and row/column adders/editors. I would imagine there will be a million updates or specific iPhone 5 mods on Cydia very soon

Per the screenshots for Fake Carrier, it looked as though you could change the color of the % as well as use other graphical enhancements in place of the time. That's what I was referring to.

Jailbreak does nothing more than allow you to install third party apps and tweaks. What you put on it dictates the performance of your iDevice. Just like a computer, if you put too many "pretty looking apps", you will get a hit in performance.

I, for one, miss BiteSMS and I'm jailbreaking solely for that Cydia app.

However Sinful's cracked install is not really cracked.

Camera started messing up, so I tried restarting my phone and now it's stuck on the apple logo; plugged into the computer, and it turned on, but jailbreak is messing up

Yes, usually uninstalling the most current source/app does the trick. But sometimes it isnt enough and still causes a crash, so the only solution would be to reinstall the OS and re-jailbreak it.

Restarted my phone again and all is working again... weird

Some of the addons on winterboard aren't working for me. Anyone with an ip5 having this problem?

sometimes the addons are not yet updated for the 5. Sometimes you have to prioritize some of them. For me, "No Undocked Icon Labels" had to be near the top after my themes for them to work. Why is it like that? I dunno. It just works that way

Update: Evasi0n 1.1 has been released. Includes fix for Weather app crashing and long reboot times. If you have already jailbroken your device, you don’t need to jailbreak again. Just install the fixes from Cydia. Download links above have been updated with v1.1 links.

Already downloaded the updates. When I first JB my weather app was working fine, after about 12 hours it started crashing, and it's still crashing after the update. Everything else (including camera) are working fine though.

Also, SBSettings updated

I didn't upgrade. Everything is working fine, so if it's not broken, don't fix it. I'm pissed that I upgraded my Handcent to 2.3.6, and it's faulty. The previous version worked perfectly and I can't get back to it. I'm even running a wacky ass theme now because I'm bored.




I want to run a theme called Leg1on, but the var file stuff is complicated and I'm new to this.

Some issues my phone has since JB:

Weather app - doesn't work
Maps app - while on route and pressing home button causes safe mode
Mail app - no longer see the blue dot for new mail
Poof app - installed but can't see it locate it or anything on the actual phone

Damn! ^ that's rough.

I somehow just magically gained a bit of more patience on this OSX disc to arrive. .

Keep the good info & tweak recommendations coming!
