As much as it might suck to pay bring it back to whoever detailed your car and ask them to clean it, they might even discount it because you just had it done

Whipped cream? I don't think this will damage it. If it was SHAVING cream (did you taste it?) it will damage the paint. I had this done to my car when I was in High School. Luckily it was a beater, but it removes the clear coat, and a few months later I had a smiley face on my hood where the paint was worn off.

I would go back and tell them what happened and ask them to review the security video.

Whipped cream is fatty (oily) and there might be some enzymes involved. Probably kind of tricky to remove completely without taking away the wax at the same time. Maybe wash with a good auto soap that is properly formulated to not remove finish coats (wax); I have seen P21S at a BMW dealership. Some quick detailer or spray wax on the offended area(s) and some wax to finish it off.

Maybe get parking lot security footage so you can go ... um ... plea bargain down to manslaughter.
Well, that might be a bit much (my mind/heart usually goes too far in those sorts of matters), but that creaming is ****ed up! I guess you live in a place that frowns upon excellence... THAT should be the Walmart slogan!

"did you taste it?"! Do not go around tasting **** people smear on your car; waft.

lol that sucks and would piss me off, but they could have done actual damage like scratching, denting, egging, etc.

A wash will get rid of it and still leave the nice shine if he put on a good coat of wax
