Front Bearing Replacement Tools Kit Rent or Sale

For rent or purchase.

Included:
46 MM socket (6 point) 3/4 Orig. Cost $60
Posi Lock puller 103, Orig. Cost $120
1/2 to 3/4 socket adapter. Orig. Cost $10

(The tools listed above are not avail on the loaner programs at PepBoys, AZ, etc)

What to borrow from AutoZone
Hub/Bearing Installer
1/2 Torque Wrench with 250 lb limit
Bearing Install Socket Kit for the 36 MM socket to set bearing

46 MM used for hub nut removal,
1/2 to 3/4 adapter if not 3/4 breaker avail.
Posi Lock 103 used to pull the inner race of the hub. some have used a dremel, but if you mark up your spindle or hit the anti lock sensor you have just made this a more expensive repair.

This all fits in the $5 USPS box so shipping is $6 each way. Make me an offer to rent, and deposit of $150 needed. I would have used this option if it was avail. instead of spending on tools, but I would rather spend on tools than give the money to a mechanic who is trying to get this done as quickly as possible. I was planning on selling all of the tools on ebay after repair, but instead want to help out the forum and DIYers for the front hub repair.

These are the right tools for the job and will allow you to follow the video from bimmersgarage on youtube to the letter.

I will split this up if needed

the 103 Posi lock is the way to go for the bearing removal. Dont bring a dremel to do a bearling puller's job. I will send out either the 46 MM socket or the bearing puller. make me an offer! I will give it some time and then go to ebay. The puller normally goes for $50 and up, same with the socket.

Just got this back- Ready for loan again

I did add the 7 MM hex for the set screw to the rental package. I have 1 dust cap and two 46 MM wheel nuts I can include at the cost.
