Best .22 tack driver w/ threaded barrel?

Hey Gents-

One of my plans ever since I placed the order for the element was to thread the barrel on my Marlin 25n to accommodate the can. It's a tack driver, with some trigger work done, a proper bolt-action, and a classic appearance. I love this gun.

In fact, it was my first gun, ever. If I hold onto one the rest of my life, that will be it, I'm sure there are a few pictures of it in my previous posts.

As I considered threading it lately, it occurred to me that threading it properly, through ADCO or somewhere is going to cost me several hundred dollars. Since its my first gun and there's something kinda sweet about it being the same way I got it all those years ago, I've decided to look for a different host.

Requirements are:

1). Bolt action. I know people might jump on me about this, but I love the feel of a bolt gun when shooting for accuracy.

2). Threaded barrel

3). Ability to accept trigger work, has points for bipod, sling, scope. Rail is not necessary.

4. I'd like to shoot 1moa or better...I've done it with the Marlin with the optic so I'm pretty sure it's possible.

Bolt Action
5 or 10rd mag
16" heavy fluted barrel
Threaded for a can
Has savage accutrigger

I replaced the stock with a boyds tacticool stock
had the whole thing cerakoted
added a mueller apt scope

Thing is awesome and a blast to shoot cant wait to take it back to the range. Quickly becoming one of if not my favorite gun
and it was cheap. $220 for the gun, $100 for the stock, $150 for the scope and $50 for rings and $50 for bipod.

Yeah, that is definitely looking like an option. What kind of groups are you getting? And what's the trigger like? Two-stage?

Haven't had a chance to site it in yet and shoot groups. But I'll let you know when i do. The trigger is like a2 stage trigger. I really like it, but I'm also not very experienced so take my advice with a few grains of salt. But all the reviews i read before i bought it were very positive just replace the stock

Actually really like the look of that. No real details yet though...need to know a price ha

The rifle is fully customizable to nearly any configuration, so there is no specific set price. My understanding is that it is in the $2k-$3k range fully built (sans optic), but you'd have to call Mike and get a quote.

This is my next .22LR. I'm looking into a folding Manners MCF-TF1 stock and detachable box magazine and being done with it.

Haha holy shit, that's a bit out of my range for a .22 I'm afraid. I'm looking to stay under $500 or so

yeah, if I'm going to get that involved in an accurate bolt gun, its going to be something with some more pop, like a .300 winmag. I can totally appreciate an extremely accurate, well-built .22 however

A friend of mine had one of those little ruger bolt actions that takes the 10-22 mags threaded M77? It holds its own against my factory cz.

Yeah i figure there are a few bargains out there...I'm telling you, my Marlin might be the most accurate rifle I have. And new, it was like $150.

I just need to find a true shooter with the right features for a decent price.

Cant bash the marlins, I've got a $80 model 81ts that I take with me every time I go to the range. I just wish it was easier to thread one of these tube guns.
