I'm now a gun owner

So I had the chance to finally shoot a few guns when i visited Alabama,. Came home and within a week was at the range, shot a p228 and decided to pick up my first handgun.

Went with a Sig Sauer p226, currently waiting through the ten day period before pickup. Can't wait to get to the range with my own gun!

i owned guns before it was cool.

10 day waiting period. Sig Sauers are great I have a P229 myself

Maybe he meant he was on a tight budget and could not afford the luxury of trying out various firearms at a local gun range like a responsible american citizen then while at said gun range, located conveinently in the great state of Alabama, he happened upon a chance to catch a insect

i have the p226 DAK in 9mm myself. i dont mind the da/sa trigger.

what model did you get?

P229 here...best hadngun IMO...smooth action, love the DA/SA trigger...love the weight. Sucker has some heft. Terrible for concealed however.

This lol I tried it for a couple days but it was just too damn heavy...my everyday carry is a glock 26 .40

Yea...I'd have to have some major belt on to hold my pants up if I tried having the pistol straight dropped in my pocket. Bet bet for this gun concealed would be a belt holster or a shoulder holster it seems. I otherwise love it. Stupid easy to clean, quality parts I don't worry about breaking, and it shoots straight every time.

What gun store did you buy from? Peninsula Guns and Tactical? What caliber did you choose? The P226 is a solid gun without a doubt.

Glock 26 in a .40???

Standard 226 40 cal. Compared to the usp and .22 i shot the 226 seemed like the best option. Can't carry it concealed in bay area without a good reason, so not concerned about the ability to conceal it. It'll be locked in a safe at home.

I'd wanted a gun for the last few years for home defense, but the girlfriend was very against it, but recently saw the point. Took an intro class at the range, and tried out a few different guns.

I bought it at city arms in Pacifica, CA. Only shop that had hsc certificates in stock nearby.

California doesn't allow mag size of more then ten round as is.

Definitely will ensure to train but where i live, concealed carry its virtually impossible to obtain.
