Water consumption!?? Seriously?

So I have upped my water consumption to nearly a gallon a day during work hours, and damn it....I'm pissing at least 2 times and hour. I feel so uncomfortable. How much water are you guys consuming? Does the frequent urination decrease once the body acclimates to the increased water consumption?

I drink about 3L a day, or 96oz (3/4 gallon) on average, sometimes more sometimes less.

Been doing this for a very long time... your bladder may get used to it slightly, I go to the bathroom every 2 hours on average to piss though. Not quite your once every 30 minutes!

no, not really. i drink around a gallon a day (possibly even more) and i always make sure i go take a piss before i have to do things like commute to/from work, go into a long meeting, go out for lunch, etc.

you get used to the routine though of going to the bathroom all the time though. eventually, you'll also be so used to being hydrated that being even slightly dehydrated will bother you.

I think that I stay slightly under the recommended hydration levels normally, and if I become too dehydrated I end up with a mean headache. I'm scared that the increased water consumption will cause the exact problem that you mentioned about being more sensitive to dehydration levels.

I drink a little more than a gallon a day and I feel like I'm up and pissing every 1-1/2 hours to 2 hours. It's annoying sometimes, lol

I usually drink anywhere from 1.5-2 gallons throughout the day.

May seem like a lot, but it's really not... At least not for me. I'm up at 5AM to hit the gym, so I'm able to spread it out just fine between then and the time I go bed.

I would never argue the fact that 1 gallon a day is what all humans should be drinking, respectively, but when you are pissing that much, is there any reason to believe that 1/2 a gallon can still get the job done?

I'm thinking that 3/4 gallon would be sufficient for me. I couldn't get 2 gallons a day like Rich.

I drink a ton of water throughout the day, especially a workout day. Definitely over a gallon. I piss alllllllll the time, my bladder never got used to it.

The 1.5-2 gallons I drink comes easy to me. I only drink when I'm thirsty, never force myself to meet any "requirements". My good old klean kanteen that I've had for years comes with me almost everywhere I go lol.

If my piss is clear, I know I'm drinking enough. If its yellow I haven't. If it looks radioactive, I know I took fish oil

Lol reminds me of when I tried animal pack vitamins and would piss out a rave party. I usually drink 3/4-1.5 gallons a day depending on the intensity of my workouts and lacrosse practice.

I've noticed if I drink a Monster energy drink my piss almost glows. Why is that?

I think that's the multivitamin that does that. I know if I take just fish oil it's normal but a multivitamin will make it look like Mountain Dew

I drink 6-10 big glasses a day.

The clear piss test is not accurate. If you take multivitamins (especially opti-men) it'll make your piss yellow regardless how much water you may drink.

I drink around a gallon to a gallon and a half a day on training days. For high intensity workouts that's about what's recommended. And yes i have the exact same problem! It's very frustrating. At work i feel less productive because of how often i have go to the bathroom. I just assumed this was related to how the creatine affected my body. Glad to know I'm not alone.
