What's my car worth?

2004 325i with 67,000 miles
5-speed manual transmission
Sports package
Cold weather package
Xenons

Has a full OEM ZHP aerodynamic kit, painted moldings and 19" VMR CSL wheels with Pilot Sport tires (less than 10K miles). I also have the OEM 17" 5-spokes with new Blizzaks. I'm the second owner and bought it CPO'ed in 2006.

Thanks!

From current Black Book...

$8750 Clean Wholesale
$8855 Clean Trade-In
$11400 Clean Retail

No adds in the book or a unit that old.

You can go to KBB.com (Kelley Blue Book) for retail and private party pricing or for a wholesale price you can go to webuyanycar.com

You should be able to get $12k. Kbb doesn't really apply to low mileage, maintained, manual, sport package, etc. very desirable cars.

Absolutely agree. You will find someone to take this for $12k, but may be a longer wait. Depends on how soon you need the money.

KBB is worthless in finding the real value. I've been in the auto industry for over 25 years. KBB is only used by the dealer to help show an inflated price when they want to sell a vehicle. No lender uses it. Black Book and the NADA Guide are the only two that really count.

This car is too old to add for options. In this case, because of the low miles and (presumably) good condition and equipment... You go from "average" to "clean" to get the better value.

I have to say that I think anything over $10000 is going to be tough on this one. Miles are great however you have to take into account the fact that you can buy a well maintained 100k mile one for $6000 to $7000. If it was a 330 I would say that $12000 would be justified, but being the smaller motor and the fact that most BMW buyers aren't scared by higher miles on a well serviced car I think you are going to find the sweet spot at just under $10000 on yours. I would say price the car at $10900 and don't turn down any offer over $9500. You may sell it over $10000 but you will probably find that you will get most of your action under that number. Good luck to you though and it sounds like a nice car.
