In need of a air flow sensor.
Ive been looking everywhere for one and no luck. Unless I spend £300+ vat from bmw. Anyone know where to go or has anyone here have one? I've also tried the scrappys and where useless.
It's a 325 ci 2000 reg manual. Thanks |

I believe there is a Hyundai sensor that is exactly the same as your 325. someone will know more specifics.

ECStuning has this one: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-325...sor/ES2091378/
I'm not familiar with the brand, and I'm always wary about third-party replacement parts (after a bad experience with a non-oe expansion tank and rad hose).

I don't think I've ever heard anything good about MTC.

They are all over ebay cheap. I think it's definitely worth a shot at a cheap one to get you back on the road for now. I know some others will chime in against it, but I purchased one for 30 dollars brand new to see how it works and it works fine.

Stay stock my friends!

I hope it was your MAF and not just a common airleak...which is far more common when getting a mixture code than actually having a bad maf. Did you try unplugging your maf to see if things run better? If so, again, it usually then comes down to maf or air leak.
Good luck...and especially good luck with aftermarket electronic devices...usually they don't work so well...but I hope yours does. Let us know.

Problem not solved. Still doing what is was with new maf. I have checked pipes and there all good. Not sure what else to do. Will plug computer in and reset all fault codes see if that helps. If not anyone else know why its kangarooing? Or what to check/change.

jfoj here on the foums has put together a huge wealth of information on this exact same issue....likely, your sufferings are caused by one or more items he addresses. Check out his post here, and let us know if it helps point you in the right direction! Best of luck!

MTC is pure GARBAGE.
VDO/Seimens is the only MAF you should be getting.
