Center rear tire wear

I am noticing I am having a little more center rear tire wear than the front. The fronts look brand-new, but the rears definitely are wearing more in the center than the outside tread.

I've recently had an alignment and balance, and I have meticulously followed the BMW tire pressure rules as indicated on the door jamb:

32 PSI front
38 PSI rear

What could cause this, and how can I prevent it from getting worse?

I don't track, I don't have a lead-foot, I don't spin out my tires (if ever), I don't drive hard. I'm just your standard, regular driver.

I've had the tires for about a year now. Potenza RE760s, standard ZHP staggered sizes (225 front, 255 rear). I want to catch this before it gets bad.

Your can lower your rear tire pressure a bit. And also you can verify the width of your wheels and the size of your tires. If the wheels are on the narrow end of tolerance for your tire fitment it will bulge the tire and increase center wear.

255's should be on a 8.5" wheel for proper fitment. If the wheel is norrower it will bulge. 8" wide wheel is probably ok,7.5 would likely cause accelerated wear. That's where I would look first.

Fronts are 8", rears are 8.5"

I'll try dropping to 36 psi and hope for the best. I've seen other people with this problem as well but no one has talking about any solution. Some claim RTABs but would RTABs cause inner tire wear? I'd expect something like outer.

I'd lower the tire pressure in the rear just a bit.

Thanks guys. I lowered to 36. Think I should stick there, or go to 34 on all corners?

Would this be the right set up for style 42 17 inch staggered set up, currently running the below set up. Thinking about changing to the above
Front: 225 45 17 35psi
Back: 245 40 17 36psi
