Quote:
In 1914, the Argentine military adopted the Colt M1911 as their standard military sidearm and contracted with Colt to supply these guns. Argentina took shipment of 2,151 of these weapons between 1914 and 1919. Among them were the following: 321 pistols received in 1914 marked MARINA ARGENTINA (Argentina Navy), S/N C6201 – C6400 and C11501 – C11621; 1000 received in 1916, S/N C20001 – C21000; 400 received in 1919 within the S/N range of C86790 – C116594.
These pistols went through two different channels. The battleships that were being made in the USA for Argentina received the Navy pistols directly. Pistols delivered to Argentina went through the London Armoury Company.

Always have been jealous of your collection. I think this comment (which had me on arfcom) sums it up well.

"Holy shit dude. You have 5 30's? And your very own Ma Deuce? How did you......where did you.........how did you .......where did you..................HOLY FUCK. Fuck my life. I might go torch my shitty collection of ars and garands. Why should I have anything when you have shit like that?"

Every one thanks I'm rich but I'm really not I'm just a mechanic, I make 8 dollars an hour. Guns is just about the only thing I do and I've been doing it for a long time.

funny thing is that's only a fraction of them I never finished taking photos of all of them.

No, its 88 cent a can spray paint. I'll probably strip it soon, its looking rather ragged.

Peroid style desert rat camo... The parkerization under it is in great shape. Insteringly enough that sten was formerly owned by the steambridge company, it was a movie prop gun. The man who built it, Tim LaFrance, built most of the FA guns that were used in movies back in the 80-90's. He built the weapons for red dawn, the minigun from terminator 2, The weapons for SEALS, and the pistol from Red Heat omong most of the other action movies from that time. The barrel is threaded internally for a hidden blank firing device.

The last project it was used on was in 2002 for call of duty 2 to 3d model the sten in game and give the designers something to shoot to get a feel of the weapon.

Wait a minute, your exact Sten was used by the designers of COD? If so, wow that's cool

Just contact steambridge and the atf, ownership history is easy to track with nfa items. I know it was used in the pianist and a comercial (made for wdbj7 a local tv station oddly enough) look up lafrance, his history is really cool.... had a run in with the cia running guns down to south america iirc.

That is too damn cool. I was thinking about requesting the history of my m16, but I bet it's absurdly boring like "SOLD-Sat in a safe for 30 years-Sold to me"
