My Ride: 330ci
FS: 2001 330Ci Silver/Black 5 spd Premium/Sport | WI

Hi all - it's time to sell my 7 year DD

$7k OBO

BMW 330ci 5-speed manual 120k miles Silver/Black Sport package, premium package

I've had this car for 7 years as a daily driver, it has been the most reliable, quality vehicle I have owned. Waxed multiple times a year, no rust, always garaged.

The good:

Sub-frame recall fixed by Zimbrick BMW (don't buy an E46 that hasn't had this done IMO!)
Brakes/rotors in the last year
Rear shocks in the last year
MAF and other air-system parts replaced in the last 2 years.
Front lower control arms in the last 2 years
New oil filter housing in the last 3 months
10k miles on all season tires
All maintenance done as it came up, I treated her with respect always.
Mobile 1 synthetic at 5k intervals. Also kept up on transmission / differential changes at 20k intervals.
17" M wheels (sport package)
DICE Iphone integrated

The bad:

Doors don't unlock with key fob, but they do lock.
The window tint isn't great. Not purple, but not 'fresh', and I scratched a bit of it on the driver side getting out with a box in my hands.
Sunroof slider off the track, which I just discovered, since I *never* open the sunroof. (the interior 'slider' not the sunroof itself, probably a very easy fix, maybe I'll look into it)
My brother thinks it needs a clutch, but honestly with my driving style I could get another 80k out of it ... so depends on the driver. No slippage, no chatter, but *he* thinks it feels mushy. Just an FYI. (that said, he's driven it twice - I drive it daily - I'm just a fan of full disclosure)

I'm not sure about the carfax - but the day I bought it a truck backed into the front bumper and had to have it replaced (not moving, truck reversed into it and immediately stopped) New bumper replaced by Zimbrick BMW. Only incident in the cars life I believe.

I'm the second owner and bought at 58k miles from an adult who also treated it like his 'baby'. He remains on my Skype list to this day.

So why would I sell this? The 335i has caught my eye. But .. I'm still not quite sure yet, so we'll see if this sells in the price range I would like, otherwise I'll keep it until the wheels fall off.

Is the car "mango'd"?

Aka does it have a lot of the preventative maintenance done on it that mango would reccomend?

And do you have an idea as to why the key fob won't unlock the car?

Sorry - no clue about the unlock :/

I'm not sure who mango is honestly, but I kept it driving like new, so that means anything that didn't feel 'solid' would be promptly to the dealer to fix whatever it was.

Just updated the ad with new pics (sorry for the water, took it to the wash and sprayed it off)

edit: it's been parked all winter, now that I drove it again, I'm falling back in love hahaha ...

Hey - sorry, I didn't receive an email

The car is available, though there are a number of people coming to look at it in the next few days. Can you send me the email again? I'll check this post tomorrow.

No worries.

I found an '03 330ci here in town about 5 miles from my office equipped the way I want that I'm probably going to be signing the papers for.

Good luck with your sale!
