Anyone ever tear a calf muscle?

Got a grade 2 calf strain(80% tear).

I have broken a few bones and felt real pain(local anesthesia back surgery tops the list). This is my new 10 on the pain scale.

happened during a crash on my road bike.. tuck, roll then a loud/jolting pop.

HOLY **** it hurt and I cant walk.

Looking at a 4-8 week healing time to get 100% but hoping to get back to work in a week an a half.

Yeah, tore mine a few years back. Felt sore for a few days beforehand, kinda like when you get a cramp/Charlie horse. Was out in the projects doing basketball layup drills, nothing hardcore. Out of the blue, felt a massive pop in my calf. Being in The PJ's, I thought the worse (GSW, knife, bat, etc.). It was just me and my friend in the park. Looked around and nothing looked "crazy". Hobbled back to my car & drove straight to the doc. 10-12 week recovery period including rehab (I'm getting old). Nothing much they can do. I wore a shoe insert also during the recovery.

I tore my calf in 2009 while doing a polar bear plunge. I was running out of the ocean and I actually heard something tear. I thought someone slapped the back of my leg but it was the muscle tearing. Awful pain, and now my calf muscles are asymmetrical so I won't be challenging Arnold anytime soon.

I limped around for several weeks. I went to an ortho and they just said to elevate it when I can. I did not do any PT, and I'm as good as new other than the asymmetry.

No surgery. Elevate when possible. Wrapped it with an ace bandage and had a insert put in my shoe in order to prevent the calf from stretching. That's all I really remember from when it happened - like I said, I'm getting old. Memory's not so good either, lol.

I can't even come close to limping. Just the weight of my leg on it excruciating.

Got some crutches and went with my girl to the grocery store. I didn't make it far.. Forgot how much they sucked.

Nah but managed to strain both of them pretty badly doing too many calf raises. I could walk, but not without being on my tippy toes for about 3 days

The crutches suck at trying to help you walk or girls suck at trying to help you walk?

I tore my right bicep a couple of years ago. Looks like it has a hole in it.

My Ride: has a 3.2L bag now
I severed my calf muscle a few years ago in a jet-skiing accident. Was re-attached with plastic surgery.

Tore my achilles and partially ripped it out of the calf muscle in October. It was pretty debilitating but I'm pretty well back to normal now 4 months post op. Some people take a year to recover. Good news is it looks and feels normal now (except having a 5 inch incision scar and only 75% muscle strength.

Pain wasn't as bad as back spasm I once had
