Unhappy help with engine swap

Hi, well as it says on the title I swapped the engine in my e46 and now can't geted to start. The battery is charged up and making good connection. I just don't understand why the engine rotates slow sounds like tos....tos....tos....tos. I already checked the wiring twice I, I don't known what esle to do. Does someone have any suggestions!"!!!

Has the new engine been checked or tested.before you put it in.


First thing to do is read your engine codes. This will indicate if something is a miss.
Check you 12v to the front +B terminal, and starter. Check your grounds too.
Charge your battery overnight.
Check your fuses and check your e-box fuses.

I had a find of my that works mainly with big trucks and 550's put on this big expensive code reader and it was reading all types OK code theft warning, cylinders, ect..........

You will have to systematically check out your car as in my list above to figure it out.

It could be the starter. It could be your new engine compression. Check your oil in the new engine.
