bavsound control III install

After a bit of research, I decided to give the Bavsound Simplicity Control III a try. The install went smooth and device works well. My son really only wanted a way to connect his phone (music) in the car. It turns out the USB interface is the way he will connect his phone (won out over aux-in and Bluetooth). What I wanted to show is how I handled the aux-in and USB interface:

I had this socket lying around in my spare parts bin from work I did on other BMW's. I had already grafted a USB pigtail (with female usb connector) onto the BMW socket and simply added a 4 position connector/pigtail for the aux-in. Worked beautifully and integrated well, I think.

Just wanted to share as another idea on where/how to add aux-in/usb in the E46 (other than the horrible BMW location inside the glovebox).

Edit: Sorry about the large photo, too lazy to fix.
