Where to sell - besides eBay?

Holy hell - I've not been on e46 in several years; I got a tingle in my nut sack when I saw GUN TALK was a sub-forum. I've read through some of the threads already - I have lots to learn with regard to ammo, etc. You guys knows your stuff - very impressive. I'm not that deep into it, I only know I don't want to get carjacked, shot inside a theater or inside my home so I'm well equipped these days.

That said - I was recently at an auction in Atlanta and picked up this 1968 M16 trainers model. This is a 2:1 scale model of the M16. The action on it works, it loads and ejects dummy rounds. I saw one on Pawn Stars a couple of years ago and the guy wanted stupid money for it. I've emailed eBay about it and they will let me put it up as long as I put an orange safety tip on it indicating it is a non-firing, dummy weapon. Is there any other place you can think that I can try to sell this thing before I go the eBay route?

BTW - in the third picture that is a scaled AR15 next to the assembled trainer unit; shown only for perspective of how big this thing is when assembled.

Yes - they kicked it once then we had dialog and they told me how to list and what to put in the ad text so that admins know it is approved. Turns out the State of CA is the big stickler that I must comply with for the ad to remain.

In addition to auction sites like gunbroker, you can list on the classified sections of some of the largest gun forums. Ar15.com listings get hundreds of views in hours. If you want to sell locally, calguns.net has a large viewing base too.

Good luck, its a niche collectable and kinda hard to sell. Generally they dont bring HUGE bucks.. Buddy had one a while back, sold it for $200.

Thanks - good to know (and somewhat disappointing ) - it would cost half that to ship the damn thing - weights 70lbs or so with that wooden box.

Yep, people are always looking for odd stuff on there. Might get a buyer looking for something like that.
