Ok, for $1k you're going to need to get creative if you want decent sound. The systems at Best Buy are crap.

I don't like Onkyo. They sound sterile.

RossGuy- also a good list. The Energy setup is supposed to sound almost as good as the Pioneer, but look better while doing it.

If your looking to get the Energy from BestBuy you're sol. Online and store pick up is sold out. I think I'm going to go with the Polk speakers and Denon receiver this weekend and if I want a blue ray player, I'll grab a ps3.

I own a mid-range Denon and have been very happy. Hear decent things about Onkyo.

BB sells Energy? Since when? I got a pair of Energy RC-50s a few years ago and love them, but I had to order from Vanns.
