I think a FRS/BRZ is a more fun DD. I like lower-powered light cars that I can actually wring out. I guess I'm weird.

The 135i isn't that heavy. The BRZ is around 2800 lbs with 200hp, whereas the 135i is around 3400 lbs with 300hp. Ratios are in favor of the 135i.....

I haven't driven the BRZ/FRS, but I have driven the 135i and it's an absolute blast to drive.

600 lbs makes a car feel very different, and you can't make up for that with power. I've also driven the 135i but not the BRZ, and it is planted/fun but I wouldn't describe it as "tossable" or light-footed like a Miata/Mini. It really just depends what OP wants in a DD, they are pretty different.

Lol try adding a tune with supporting mods. Looking at 380whp 390 tq. Let's see you do that with a frs/brz

Because He's not interested in rear cargo room and other stuff like that. 135 would be quicker due to less weight.

I personally wouldn't go with any of those. The FRS is gutless BUT the aftermarket community is HUGE right now, so you can mod it easily if that's your thing.

The 135 is a fantastic car but the price of parts and cost of insurance among other little things scares me somewhat. Somebody correct me please if i'm wrong.

Have you looked at the Hyndai Genesis coupe 3.8 R Spec? If you arent really interested in brand appeal then that would be a fine choice for the money you pay.

135i is ugly in most people's eyes(including my own). That's why I suggested it.

135 looks like a turd but drives very nicely.
Brz drives nicely and looks good too.

Not sure which one I would pick. Probably the 135

Both the 135i and the brz have meh looks imo, but for very different reasons.

I would get the BMW in a heartbeat because

1)Buying new is stupid
2)Buying a subaru without a turbo is stupid
3)It's 2013 ffs, Spending 25k+ on a car with 200 hp IS REALLY FVCKING STUPID.

It's too awful looking to actually purchase.
The rear end looks like someone hit it.
It is a great car. Really is. Good drivers car. It just looks like a dog.

On the last point, inflation has hit the USD hard. GTI's are $24k & Civic SI's are $23k

BMW sells the 320i with 180hp for $33k

They have grown on me. When it first came out I would gag every time I saw one. Now I just look the other way. I can really appreciate a nice 1. But I just don't like one more than an e46

That's faster than a e46 325 and pretty close to a 330

I like the 135I. I considered one but wanted a 4 door(getting old/lame) so I got a 2010 328i.

I vote 135i
you can make crazy HP with 500-$1000
A more respectable car(if you care what other people think)
since used probably will have more features
HPFP issues though

The brz probably handles better out of the box, has a warranty and zero wear and tear.
