Badfast believes there is no difference between the two.

Do you understand that people that are busy don't really want to spend the whole day at the DMV ? It's not about $15. I hate the effin DMV.

I went the DMV a few months ago to transfer a title and register my vehicle. Things moved quickly. Same thing when I needed a new license. Went first thing in the morning and was in and out in under 30 minutes (including written test).

Why would anyone spend the day at the DMV? This has nothing to do with the DMV.

Not to mention he already lives in NY so he would have no need for the permit to drive in the US.

I think people just like to throw sand in their vaginas for fun these days.

Um, obviously I have a valid NY drivers license ... I was speaking for the OP. Damn. Put 2 and 2 together. So where would you obtain an international drivers license ?

And bro .... stop exaggerating your stories. Just to wait on line and get a ticket is 30 minutes minimum, add in the wait times for said ticket to be your turn, etc. Not sure what town you're even thinking of but stop it.

Sounds soooo difficult.

Quote:
Simply print out the application, fill in the information requested and bring it with you to the AAA office nearest you. If you prefer to secure your International Driving Permit through the mail, enclose your completed application form, two ORIGINAL passport-type photos each signed on the back, a $15USD permit fee and a photocopy of both sides of your driver's license and mail them to the AAA office nearest you (check locally for payment options). Include additional U.S. funds for expedited return mail service, if desired.
See USPS.com, Fedex.com or UPS.com for rates.
