I recently got an interview for a job in Europe.

You bet your ass I'll leave the US if I get that offer. This place blows.

Wealth isn't finite. We don't need their money or their greed.
The US does need these individuals.

Not even mentioning the efficiencies of larger countries.

As divided as this country is, at least we are one.

If tens of millions of dollars is a "few bucks", then I guess there is no point in this discussion. I don't think anyone is leaving to save 15K.

Depending on where, it's even worse over there.

Agreed. This was where people would go to get away from the bs we have here now. Now there is nowhere to go, inmates running the prison.

I am sure you are speaking from experience. There is not a place I wouldn't live in Europe...well maybe not Kaliningrad. But Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, Germany, France any of those are fair game.

Too many issues for me. Brazil or Argentina would top my list of places to go for South America. Brazil is certainly gaining prestige.

We don't need them. (nice to have, maybe, but, we will survive fine without them.) There will be other who will avail themselves of the freedoms and opportunities in this country and become rich, greedy b@stards who will stay here and pay their taxes.

What type of job? My wife and I have been talking about wanting to move to London, but jobs would be the lynch pin, of course.

And then continue the cycle until the rich finally say to hell with this.

I'd consider Brazil. Have some colleagues from college who live there and try to convince me of the life.

To each their own. I wouldn't live in those soviet republics if you paid me. I have family in Germany and its not NEARLY as nice to live in compared to the US. With your political views, Europe fits you pretty well.

Actually I did live in Germany for awhile. Near the borders (under 1 hr driving) of Lux, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Germany is extremely nice to live in! And those Soviet Republics....well they are no longer part of the Soviet Union . With your political views an underground bunker and a segment on doomsday preppers would fit you nicely.

We've both got good careers, but the process of looking for jobs abroad seems to be overwhelming, to say the least. It seems the best way is to get hired by a company here in the states and then get transferred to an office abroad.

My company has manufacturing plants and offices in England, China, Mexico, Thailand, India, and Poland. I may need to consider working abroad for a short period of time.

I hear ya! It would certainly be a great opportunity to not pass up if it comes your way. Make her work and then take the time in Europe as an "extended vacation". Indulge in beer tasting at the local pubs and enjoy the extensive amounts of amazing scenery and history.
