Winter rims: BMW Style 141 (17x7 ET47)... Will they work? Yes they will.

with 205/55-17 tires...

I'm assuming these should be fine on a 2002 325iT RWD, right?

I hate to ask, but didn't find anything on search... tried to find an FAQ that listed recommended/preferred wheel sizes and offsets for our cars, but didn't see anything.

(I know most of the wheels on our cars are 8" wide, but for winter, I'm good with them being an inch skinnier.)

and then, any opinions on Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip Run Flats? (I don't so you won't hurt my feelings if you think they're crappy.)

Just happened to find this setup FS locally, and thought I'd get some advice before shelling out anything!

This is going well, I think.

Anyway, I've found a few threads/sites indicating that this wheel size will work just fine, so maybe this is a better question:

What spacers would you recommend for 17x7 ET47 wheels on a 325iT? Would you use spacers at all? Or just live with the non-flush look for a few months? (Or maybe it NEEDS spacers to clear the brake calipers!)

Come on, folks! Someone will have this same question, and they'll search, and they'll come across this dead end, and they'll be forced to post a new thread, just like me!

Wheels will be fine.

Where you are buy a winter tire, not a performance winter tire. IMO

I'm running 7x17" Styling 23 M Kontur/Contour with ET41 on my 323Ci.
Would look better (or be slightly flush) with like 15mm spacers or something, but I can live with the look.

205/50R17 tires.

Excellent. Thx all.

I went ahead and bought them... four wheels with the Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grips for $500. Too good a deal, even if it was just for the wheels. (No curb rash at all. Pretty much perfect.) Putting them on later today.

The tires look just fine, and have at least a couple more seasons left in them. Found a few reviews that were very positive on TireRack, so I think we should be in good shape. Even if they're just OK, I'm sure they're better than the all-seasons in the deep snow. If they only last the rest of this season plus one more, I'm still ahead of the game.

Here's one last (crappy iPhone) pic of the car before the winter wheels go on.

quick (really bad iPhone) shot of the 141s. Yeah, spacers would be nice, but they fit and look just fine.

It's winter. It's not a fashion show.

Jury's not even out yet on the Goodyears. The prosecution needs to present more evidence.
