First off why was the coolant low? Make sure the sensor is plugged in. Could be a bad sensor. Do you know how to bleed the cooling system?

It could be the blinker fluid...often is. You want bmw BF-01...BF-04 is for Euro cars...TKC should've clarified! He got sloppy!

So, after driving, let cool, check level. Stay close, real close, to home...check level before driving actually.

The sensor rarely breaks, but it can...the after market ETs have magnets that fall off rendering a constant low level I think.

You need to assume it's telling the truth, until you know it's just a signal error. If your system begins to overheat, stop immediately, turn car off, get it towed somewhere...don't mess with it...it could cost you $1500-5,000 in anywhere from 1 min to 10 mins. of overheating...don't forget.

Look carefully for leaks. Remove underskirt...look with good led while car is idling at op temp. Assume you have a leak...and tell us more about your car, miles, what you've done in repairs on cooling system already.

Read Mango's sticky and about five other threads with 'cooling system' in the title...read until you puke, then go out and do what you need to do.

Don't ignore the light!

The BMW stuff is too expensive. This is much cheaper and I've been using it since day 1 and never had issues. Best blinker fluid on the market and half the price.

Don't cheap out on fluids...just don't. You might not notice it now, but someday, when you need to blink, if you haven't flushed that crap you use annually, you'll lose blinker function. Ask Kalim, he'll set you straight!
