Kosei K1

So I bought a set of kosei k1s...picked them up for a solid price. They are 17x8.5 et40 all around. What size tires should i go with? Im lowered about 1.5 inches. Would 245-40 rub the strut at all?

you should be fine with 245/40/17's. I have 235 40 17's on mine with a H&R sport cup kit, lowered almost 2inches in the front and 1.5 in the back with no issues.

235/45/17 should work too.

It looks like 245/40 will fit, so not to thread hijack, but has anyone ran 255/40/17 squared on kosei k1's? That's the settup I'm looking to run at autox this year, and 255 are cheaper than 245.

That's going to be on the wider end of the scale for an 8.5" wide rim, but just as long as its within spec for the specific tire you should have no problems. The car may not feel quite as good as it would on 225's, but you should have more grip in the end. Also keep in mind that changing tire sizes may effect what class your car qualifies for.

I can't speak to how running that size will affect your speedometer.
