Someone school me on a UTAS UTS15
My friend's FFL has one of these in cherry mint condition. Looks brand new according to my friend. I have no actual "want" for this firearm other than the bada$$ looks. Is this a stupid impulse buy or is it actually worth buying? Whats a good price? I think he is asking $1150 for it.
Here is a photo (not a photo of the one for sale) for anyone who doesn't know what this thing is... ![]() If there was EVER a weapon that looked "assaulty" this would be it.

I saw this a couple months ago and while I'm not a nutnfancy fan, he makes a very good case. This would give me pause, but do what you want.

There's a note in the nutnfancy video that he sent it in and it came back "repaired" but kept malfing. I think it's a WIN in style and concept, but FAIL in execution.
For that kind of coin, I'll say this- I've never seen a Benelli shit the bed like that.

at $1200, i'd literally laugh in your friends face.
on the flip side, is it possible bad shells were causing the jams in nutfacys vid?

![]() Just a small note...I believe they used to be produced in Turkey....now it seems they have moved production to the US....do you think that would have any improvements on quality? http://www.armslist.com/posts/689994...p-black---new-

That first video was PAINFUL to watch. But the older guy had no failure. I wonder why. Seems like they had a dud. Although there is no excuse for the selector to be made of plastic.

Yea, I think Im more in love with the badassness of the shotgun rather than the actual quality of it. Gotta come back to reality and come back to my senses.

Who knows. The problem is that the loads look like normal 2-3/4" low-brass target shells, which is the most common load on store shelves and what most people take out shooting for fun. A reliable shotgun should cycle everything without an issue, unless it's an automatic and you're dealing with low power loads that can't operate the system, which is a known variable in all auto shotguns.
That one could very well be a lemon, but the problem is that it's a new design and a new gun. If this were a Benelli M4, Beretta AL391 or Remington VersaMax, we could say "yeah, that's gotta be an abberration/lemon" because they're proven designs with a lot of history. Since the UTS-15 is a new design and gun, it has a lot to prove. High profile problems like above certainly don't help things.

I don't like the way it looks. The capacity is amazing but the "magazines" are unprotected and very flimsy as shown at the end of the first video.

You couldn't get a ksg for close to retail months ago..I'd hate to see what they are costing now. If I could find one for msrp I'd snatch it up

Here he reviews it against the KSG and his opinions make sense. If it was my money I wouldn't buy it.

Yea I snapped out of it. It would be a cool thing to own, but now for that kind of money. I'd buy it for $200, but not for $1200+.

Saiga's have a lot of feed issues and they are far too finicky. They take a good amount of money to make them super reliable. I have a Sar arms Home defense shot gun, its semi auto 6rd cap and had feed hundreds of rounds without a hiccup. It is limited on capacity.
