This does not represent the majority of CEO's across the country.

Ahh, I thought you were implying that presidents don't do much.

People that want to be POTUS aren't doing it for the money. The salary has to be kept in such a way that its not financially disastrous for an individual to do the job for 4 or 8 years. But beyond that, I don't really think the salary matters much to the people that want to do it. As others have mentioned, it has tremendous ancillary financial advantages.

If Congress functioned properly, I'd actually be in favor of their salaries being fairly lucrative so that highly qualified individuals could be temporarily lured out of the private sector to do a few terms without it completely derailing their lifelong earnings curve. But as long as Congress is filled with career politicians, I'm not in favor of paying them more, giving them lifelong benefits or anything else that insulates them from the financial repercussions of their actions and policies.

Cause all business leaders are asses?

You've either never worked in the professional world and are basing this on purely media coverage or have had truly awful experiences and are bitter as hell. Either way, you now have my pity.

<- work for a great company with ethics and values in the right place.. If they didn't, id leave... That simple and is one of the beauties of the free market.

Obama no. The next president? Yes, just for not being Obama.
