How do you remove the caster locator pins?

Since replacing the entire front suspension, I need to take the car in for a good alignment. I want all aspects tweaked in as close a possible.

There is a pin on the strut mounts that needs to be removed so the shop can make slight camber adjustments. How is the pin removed? Do you use a punch and hammer? Would that bend the mount? How about drilling it out?

I have seen this pin drilled out before. I would think you'd need a pretty heavy-duty punch to remove it.

Just use a hack saw. Or if m3 they can be pushed out.

I was hoping to do it without removing the struts. I guess I'll drill them out.

They unthread kind of. Grab them with pliers are twist. They will come right out.

And they are pins to limit adjustment of camber, not caster.

I have aftermarket ones in my car, by lemforder I think. I just used a 6" ratchet extension as a punch and a big hammer. The thing popped out easily on the 2nd hit.

Knock out with punch and hammer no need to remove strut. Would recommend jacking up and slightly loosen the three mount bolts.
