You keep harping about the founders, and what they meant about "promote the general welfare". You are ready to bow down at the alter of Madison. But, choose to ignore that Hamilton was founder and a federalist and held the opposite view of Madison. So even the founders disagreed on what promoting the general welfare was about.

So stick that in your Madison and smoke it.
