BMW settings

i was reading through my manual and i saw that there could be various settings turned on such as auto locking the doors when you start driving, having your car make a sound when you unlock/lock it, etc. and i was wondering how can i access these features? do i have to access it through the codes on the on board computer?

No you need someone with the software program to do that...you can get it...dealer can do it...maybe there's a local fanatic that can help you out.

Make sure they know what they're doing. Dealer cost here can be anywhere from $50-100 I think for coding a feature or two. It's expensive software...used to be around as a stolen copy, and all you needed was a cable to access car on a laptop...something like that.
