My Ride: 2005 330ci 6MT
axle shaft no fit...

I have a 2004 330ci that is a wondeful project. It has a 6MT and I don't know the rear end ratio.

The car had left rear suspension damage, and I found a trailing arm, and upper and lower control arms from a donor car, another 330. Everything fits perfectly, but the axle shaft. My car has a thin flange, and short bolts where it meets the diff, and the donor car had a thick flange and long bolts. Also, my car's spacing for the inner flange is like evenly spaced pairs, where the donor car has six even spaced holes. see pic:

I called around, and the parts people said it doesn't matter, that I have a 6MT, but I cannot find out for sure why the difference...? Help?

If it helps, I am beginning to figure out that the awd models have a different axle shaft than the rear wheel drive models, so I must have pulled one from an awd model, but the drawings on real OEM aren't helping me...
