Rare ZHP, or a scam? Help please if you know ZHP!

Thanks for helping me out. Here's the deal:

A guy has posted his 2003 330CI for sale. I'm scheduling a test drive, but I'm concerned about something: He states in his ad that the car has both the performance, premium, and sports packages on it. If the car does have ZHP, it would have a 6 speed shifter (he has a 5 speed in the photo and he even described it as such); it would have M decals on the wheel (which I cannot see in the photos); and it would have clear plastic for the indicator lights rather than the traditional orange/amber color...yet his car does have clear plastic.

Is this a scam/guy full of BS? I've never heard of a 5 speed ZHP. Steering wheel and plastic light covers can be replaced, if someone really wanted to (but why downgrade?), but the transmission going from 6 to 5? If you know ZHP, I'd be very grateful for your advice.

Thanks again.

Hello adb hehe

We need the link to the ad or the last 7 of the vin to get the options

That's a pre facelift coupe. They Didnt produce the zhp on the coupes until 2004. Plus that looks nothing like a zhp. Are you sure you know what the zhp package is?

And yes it's a 5 speed

It's not a ZHP. Pre-facelift coupe, as adb1028 and ville have stated.

That car's got a beautiful color, though, I'll tell you that!

I didn't think it was a ZHP given the shifter and yes also the lack of facelift, which is why I was asking - maybe I was missing something? Apparently not. Thanks for the speedy feedback guys.

Nothing about that car is zhp. You need to do more research if you thought so. It doesn't even have 1 of the features from the ZHP package.

I'm actually not in the market for a ZHP, just the 330ci. I came across his post and he said it had performance package, and I doubted it, so I asked. However, if any of you do know of a 2004 330ci zhp for sale in the sf bay area for around 9g...well, I'd be in that market pretty damn fast. Again, thanks.

^If this was $12,000 you better jump on it. extremely difficult to find a clean manual. the body gaps, panels, lines, etc. all seem legit. the interior is clean. This car gives the STRONG impression that it was cared for on a very very high level. Wish i could see the seat bolsters but judging by the steering wheel, it's likely the rest of the interior is nice.

Definitely a nice example. Steel grey is one of my favorite colors.

Just for fun though, ask him a little more about the Performance Package. Ask what it included above and beyond the Sport Package. I'd be curious where's he's coming from on this. He obviously can't mention any of the pieces that don't exist on the vehicle, like alcantara or 6-spd or M-Tech trim or M steering wheel, etc.

That sure as **** is not a ZHP... We had a ZHP come in at the car lot I used to work at and I drove that beauty. But nonetheless it does look to be in decent shape, although I've never been a fan of BMW's grey interiors. I feel like even if I wore a fresh biohazard suit inside it I'd still get it dirty somehow.

Defiantly NOT a ZHP, but from the looks, it could be a solid 330Ci.

The guy that posted that ad probably doesn't even know what ZHP is. People throw words like "performance" into ads just to make them more appealing.

Calling it a "scam" is a stretch. He doesn't mention ZHP and in no way has tried to dress it up like a ZHP.
