On the topic of coding. Is there particular things you guys would highly recommend doing?

I'm going to do the both door unlock on button press, as doing one at a time annoys me when the missus has to get in on her side.
M track mode seems like it might be a little bit of fun.
Indicator flash on unlock would be nice aswell as mine only flashes on lock.

Any hidden cool things you can code? I've read a couple of threads with big lists of all sorts of things you can change.

Here are some code changes I enjoy most times I use the car. I have done others but will put them in a thread with video later.

Stop rear windows opening on unlock down (or add window close to lock down)
NAV to ece to get rid of accept screen
turn off nav instruction on kombi
mirror dip in reverse custom position
less sensitive auto headlights
airconditioning to remember last setting when pressing auto
don't stop auto window rollup when opening/closing door

Regarding the parking lights (original question) I tackled it differently.

I wasn't happy with the yellow look of the parkers against the white of the angel eyes. I fitted white LEDs in the parking light holders but knowing this would throw a code, I did a swifty!
Instead of fitting a load resistor, I spliced in another T10 holder into each parker wiring and inserted the original parking globes, letting them hang loose in the engine bay.

Of course, now that I have PASoft I would code the parkers out and be done with it.

How much does it cost to get the warning lights coded off in Sydney? I've sorta solved the problem another way but it would be cleaner to have them coded. When I installed the AEs I also installed an hid kit and tinted the high beam bowl dark metallic black as my high beams mostly come from the hid's shutter. It's still reflective but not much and hard to notice the driving light bulbs at all now compared to the angel eyes and the bowl doesn't get illuminated behind the angel eyes. I also have some chunky heatsinked resistors I was gonna try too but if it's cheap to recode the lights I might still do that... wiring is getting a bit crowded in there as it is.

OK great. Have you tried it out yet? Does it come with instructions? It mentions that it's never locking in the title and offers an explanation below.. "Good News! Our BMW 1.4.0 will never locking now!" What is this referring to and should it be more confidence inspiring than it sounds?

I have used the BMW Scanner and recoded my indicators to flash when I lock/unlock the car, also only the front windows to drop when I hold the 'open' button for 5 secs.
I also reset the service interval from 24,000km to 12,000km.
I could delete the parking lights from the 'check' that is done on startup but haven't yet.

There are several threads that describes the use better:-
Thread 1
Thread 2
Thread 3

Certainly worth a look.

Ok thanks. I've been reading up a bit on it and ordered one today. I could have got the cheaper one on ebay for $29(which is probably exactly the same) but got a $34 one from xcar360 that people seem to have had success with.

Only if you've fixed the problem that caused it to appear in the first place...

I have one and love it, one of the best things I've purchased for the car.

Good to hear it worked out for you mate, definitely the best solution compared to resistors and what not.
