Do you know that you can use google and search photos of S54 camshafts and photos of M52TUB camshafts and see if they even look the same

forums used to be an platform where people used to encourage others, challenge them with new ideas. now its just people bashing others because their 9y/o outdated bmw is better than the next guys. im seriously tired of all the 'body building progress' threads. this is a car forum. go to the gym an satisfy ur insecurities. more motor, wheels, f/i, stance, and mods that everybody and their mother hasnt.done..jesus

Where is this mixed info you speak of? I'm tempted to not answer your question since you clearly have a bad attitude and a sense of entitlement. But I'm feeling generous.

Anyway the answer is no, they will not fit. No matter how much custom work you're willing to do, S54 cams will never fit in an M5x motor.

Why would you even want to do that? Are you under the impression that the s54 cams are somehow going to give you more aggressive timing?

I did encourage and challange you to look on google. You would clearly see that they are totaly different. No reason to get pissed off, you clearly have anger issues

no anger, i got a notification and was excited to see some positive input only so see the standard finger pointing to google. im on a phone...seeing the differences is a bit hard on my massive 3x4 screen. i was hoping for 'the vanos differs, or duration isnt compatable'

timing??? no, a more agressive intake and exhaust cycle. such as that seen with schrick cams. which im not alone in thinking that agressive cams =power

anyway, ive come across.some info on why they wont fit now. I wasnt aware of the many differences in lifters, bore spacing among other things.
A really nice guy explained all the details. He didnt have a snide remark. He's what this forum is about.

I did research. It said they wouldnt fit , but as I said people are finding new ways of adapting parts. Like Corvette brakes. They dont fit, but can be adapted. As for me freaking out on people for saying

///Mpower is not included in a 323.....just saying.

Why is it always the people with the 323's that make themselves look like complete assholes? OP, never come out swinging like that if you want good advice.

just search, is because alot of info is useful and it is what it is. But mods shot down from a thread in 03' can sometimes have been overcome with a simple solution.

Honda Vtec people finaly can afford beat up 323i and they think they got M3 power because it has dual vanos

If I installed camshaft from a B16A2 motor into a M52TU would that means I have both V-Tech and VANOS?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! Better question.. would that quantify as Triple-VANOS?

[/end sarcasm]

........ m power ... drives a 323.... sorry had to do it. They wont fit. Most likely the lift and everything else about the m3 cam wont be compatible with a 323. Not to mention that the m3 engine is wayyyyy bigger then yours. Im willing to bet the dimensions of that cam are different.

Not to be an A hole. but please dont make your car something it isnt...... I see enough silly a$$ 325i's with that badging etc. And I do the same thing to each one... laugh and blow by them.

Stay classy
