Yes, I would suggest trying to do workouts with everything you've been doing, but do it with a weight / resistance that you can do 5-7, 3-5, 1-3 reps of for 3 sets. Get heavier as you go. Mix it up, lift heavy first, then end with burnout sets of things.

In all seriousness, I think P90x ab ripper would be good to do like 4-5 times before you go, along with a low calorie diet, some medium intensity cardio and low-mid weight/high rep exercising to tone the body.

That's personally what i believe would give you the best results in a quick time frame while still being reasonable.

Yeah I'm kind of going to do a mixture of the suggestions here. Certainly lighten the diet (a little), increase the weight of my normal workouts, and use my insanity ab focused workouts every other day or so.

my question is... why haven't you already been doing that lol. you wouldn't be in this situation!

maybe use this as a time to learn what a really intense workout is with a short term goal

We just booked the cruise on LastMinuteCruises.com yesterday haha. I've been just keeping myself on a routine workout not really trying to gain size or mass but to just keep "healthy" and active. I haven't had a goal, just staying active and healthy and the my lady came to me with the idea to go on a 4-day cruise for a quick getaway in a couple weeks when she has some time off andso we checked it out and booked it yesterday haha.

I understand that, however:

1. we just booked the cruise so it's crunch time (pun intended)
2. I workout regularly, just looking for a two week crash course diet and workout to really burn and tighten.
And 3. I made this thread knowing I can't look like an Abercrombie model in 2 weeks.

Ill post my progress in a week and then a pic on the cruise.

You may not want to hear this but unless you starve yourself of food and water you're going to look almost exactly the same in two weeks. Two weeks in terms of changing biologically is nothing.

It's not that serious. And thats probably true but why not kick my ass for the two weeks and eat light to leading up to the cruise. That can certainly tighten some.

except if its two weeks away right? lol. If only we had booked this cruise farther out I wouldve had more time to prepare but its not a big deal, just trying to max out as much as I can before it.

You don't have enough time to make a noticeable difference.

You have a woman, so what's the point? If you were going with a group of friends who were trying to pick up chicks, I could see the angle.

Self-confidence, she looks awesome, and first time in a bathing suit this year? Keeping my girl interested in me. Not getting lazy and fat like most men do when they marry.

Once again, I understand its thought I wont see a difference but whatever, might as well try.

edit: Where's the encouragement in this group? Besides a few, most have been just ragging on the idea. Whether or not it works, why not ****ing try.

You can step up your routine, we're just being realistic that you're not going to get the results you might like within 2 weeks. By all means tear it up though.
