Yeah its usually people that know they have a shoe that says CrossFit on it so they assume its the Olympic shoe that people are talking about.

My wife just got the ones you have. Pretty sweet shoes! She got them from a girl that has been in the games the last two years!

Hoping to start sponsoring her if shes up for it.

Pull-ups...goal was 50+ in five rounds of 40 seconds (we were doing other movements too.) I did 24 in the first round, 18 in the second, spent the next round taping up my hand, and still finished in the mid 60s.

I had already warmed up with 15 CTB pull-ups that were more like belly button to bar (was really stressed from other things.)

Right hand is not so bad, but left is gnarly.

sucks man. KB snatches always rub my hands down a lot.

In other news. The gf is coming to workout and I need to think or something for her to do.

Her comment the other day had me facepalm pretty hard. Keep if mind she was a sprinter so she isn't exactly and idiot when it comes to these things but I had her do a sh1t ton of burpees and she said "These burpees are going to make my legs get big" lol what?

So I'll probably have her do some kind of long metcon of various sh1t just to get her moving. I'm thinking something for 20-25 minutes going from things like thrusters, kb swings, burpees, sit ups, etc

I've never had issues with KBs (aside from some forearm bruising...) but pull-ups kill my hands. I've torn callouses five times in the <8 weeks I've been been doing CF.

As for your gf's comment, wow

I could understand if you had her doing a bunch of body weight squats but no way are her legs going to grow on burpees. Just imagine what she'll say if she actually does something that'll make them larger!

I would use wodshop.org to help in case you can't think of anything.

I usually cut my calluses down or grind down and tape up all the time. Helps out a good bit.

Not a fan of that site. Some really odd things come up sometimes. I can get creative enough on my own.

Hey guys, not really active in this section, always active in the Photography section but want to be more active here. Can always learn more and theres tons of useful info here. I personally don't do CF but am big on fitness and working out. However, I do work at my university's rec center (gym) and do all the photos for them including their crossfit events because its gotten pretty big here.

They have some of my photos on the CrossFit sites:

211 for me tonight. I'm pleased.

One girl in our gym got 299. I saw the end of her workout. She barely lost pace at all. It was impressive.

Nice job Dave. Box jumps were the limiting factor I assume?

Did you jump up jump down, jump up step down, step up jump down or step up step down

Thanks, Greg.

Yes, the jumps were the limiting factor. If I could get those done just a bit more efficiently, 240 would definitely be within reach. I stepped the entire time. I have a lot going on this weekend and likely won't get to try it again, but if I do, I'll step up and jump down.

I wore two SPUN items tonight: compression shorts and socks

I'm surprised they're allowing step ups. I know the smart thing to do is step down though since box jumps have been known to kill people's achilles

Still deciding on my box jump technique. I normally jump down and immediately back up. If I rest at all, it's at the top of the box. Reading about all these achilles injuries have me thinking step down. Besides, I'm not going to regionals.
