Fake, note the slide did not fully cycle and theres alot of smoke.

He fired a blank round without a blank firing device.

yeah idk, seems like he was prepping for the recoil even before the shot. also didnt hear the round hit anything, so i think youre correct

yea it might be a blank, or maybe he shot through an open window? looks like he is facing a window and wearing shorts/sleeveless shirt so that might indicate warm weather/windows open? if he did actually neg discharge he could have been lucky enough to shoot it through an open window.

i can see what your saying about him bracing for recoil before the shot, looks like he closed his eyes a little and opened them them closed them again after the shot. its hard to tell if his response to the shot was sincere.
