Thank you for your additions to our much maligned S54 platform. It is nice to see some new faces.

Will we be seeing any built engine SAAD Turbo M3's at Shift S3ctor Airstrip Attack? It would be nice to see how they compare.

Post up your dyno sheet and lets compare them, I would be interested in seeing the delta. I'll be building the engine soon, compression will come down but I promise the power will go up

You are correct, peak numbers dont mean much.

I have some dyno Dynamics runs 997 whp thats like 1170 whp on dyno jet. That 997 whp was 4 years ago. That power band was useless on the road and made me improve mid range.

I ve covered a long way and improved my low and mid range a lot. 3500 cc was one of the band aids.

BTW, did not know that your 12 psi figure was on stock engine, congrats and nice to see other tuners working on E46 M3s. Keep up the good work

Compare to what? Are you talking about 911's and Lamborghini's or M3's?

I'm not so sure he was. Anyway, if he was, who's M3 was he referring to? Who are the "Top Dogs"? Give me something to shoot for

If you want to run against an assortment of turbo m3's, shift sector is the spot.

Stage 2.5s on 6775's, 6766's and even a 6466 on c16.
Stage 2.75 on a 7168 on race and meth
Stage 4 on a 76, race and meth
Me on a 11.5:1 on e85 with a 7168
A stock motor on e85 and a 6766

Drag radials, Hoosier a6's, r comps, even street tires.

Can't think of a better assortment of turbo m3's anywhere. Not sure if FSR will be there with their kit on their car or not, but I hope so!

What you would need to duplicate this car is
1. Saad Racing E46 M3 Turbo kit $9995
2. Saad Racing E46 M3 Turbo Intake Manifold $1500, Carbon Wrap option $600
3. Saad Racing E46 M3 Fuel System Single pump upgrade, handles about 1200 rwhp on gas and 720 rwhp on E85 conservative, $2995. If you upgrade to twin you can handle 1900rwhp and 1140rwhp on E85, the injectors will be the limiting factor, this option is $600
4. Flex fuel option for fuel system $750

So for those of you that do not have a calculator the total would be $15240 plus the ProEFI I hope this answered your question. This would give you everything to make the same power as the dyno you just saw. Also, you would be set up to make A LOT MORE power with a built engine.

We are currently working on a cat back exhaust that will fit all E46 M3's. When completed we will dyno it on this car at the same boost level with no changes, I'm thinking this will take us very close to, if not over, 700 rwhp at 12 psi.

Think i found it: $3095 for e46 pro efi kit:
That takes us to right around $18,000 total. Is this correct?

The ProEFI kit retails for over 4k for the E46 M3. My normal price for it is $3995. Sometimes ProEFI will run a special on certain cars for a short time, so I'm not sure what you found. If I can get a few people together to buy kits at the same time I may be able to negotiate a special price. But for now lets just say its $3995 + $15240= $19,235 If you found it for $900 less, which is hard to believe, than the price would be $18,335 We have installers all over the country if you can't do it yourself. Hope this answers all your questions.

Haha, thanks Larry! Not in the quarter mile But my understanding is that this event does not have timers. Is this correct?

No 'manufactured' kits have achieved 10's with the exception of Jason's ProEFI E46 M3. However Micke's M3 in Sweden ran mid 9's last year in a six speed, full weight, caged car.

Edit: Just checked, 9.79 is his best time. According to him, no proof that I'm aware of. No reason not to believe him but I haven't seen it run in a video.

I believe that number ($3095) does not include the ECU bracket, boost controller, ignitors for the stock coils and the injector resistors. Saad quoted the full kit with the above mentioned

Markus, you have a wonderful way of phrasing things Jason's ProEFI E46 M3, was the Saad Racing prototype kit, except that everything has been improved on our production kit. As for the car in Sweden, if it wasn't important enough to video, than its not important enough to mention here. For someone to claim a record they should be in front of a crowd, not have control of the lights and have a time slip and video to prove what they have done. I've said it in the Supra world and I'm saying it here. Its the only fair way to do it.
If someone were to claim a record in the 60-130 they have to submit a data sheet from the performance box before anyone would even think to listen.
