Parting Out Motor (For Possible Rebuild) and Drivetrain - 01 330CI 168K

I am selling the motor, tranny, driveshaft and rear end from my 2001 330CI. Everything in this thread was taken out at just under 170k. I am having an M3 motor swapped in, so this stuff needs to go.

Motor... the motor runs, but has a tick. I had the lifters done and the ticking is still there. This will definitely not be a good candidate for straight drop-in. Other than the new lifters, pulleys and alternator... everything else is standard. I would like to get rid of this as a whole before parting out. Asking $1100 due to the ticking.

5-speed transmission... works fine. Included will be the crossmember, clutch and pressure plate. The clutch looks to have about 50% life left. SOLD

Rear End Assembly with Differential... works fine. There will be no springs or lower control arms with this package. I have the Turner Motorsport arms that have been moved to my M3 rear. Will come with the mounting bracket. Asking $750.

Driveshaft.... works fine. Asking $125 picked up/delivered or $150 shipped (this is the only item that I will consider shipping)

I tried to price this fair, but don't be afraid to throw offers. I need to get the big 3 out of my mechanic's shop.

If you have no way of picking this up, I can get a truck and deliver to you. I will just need money for gas and tolls (if needed).

Thanks

D

BTW... the tranny will include a UUC short-throw shifter.

Hi I was wondering of the engine was still available and if so are you patting it? I would like to get some info on the power steering pump if so. Thanks and happy selling!

Thanks. Not parting just yet. If it comes down to that, I will contact you to see if you're still interested.

Parting Out Motor (For Possible Rebuild) and Drivetrain - 01 330CI 168K

Can vouch that the engine pulled strong before he took it out, even after the ticking and had the lifters done. High milage, but about right for the year. I know D is adamant about maintenance of his car. I'm sure he would have eventually found the solution to the ticking before he went and got all M3 engine swap on me! Bump for an honest guy.

And yes D, I ran across this post while researching options for your rear M3 bumper swap. :-)

Officially parting out the motor

The motor is now officially being parted. Let me know if there is anything that you need.

The intake manifold has been removed and SOLD.
