e46 m3 clutch on 330d ZF 5-speed

Maybe the thread sounds stupid but, I can't have access to any vehicle.
I'm asking this because I want to fit a Clutch Masters-725 twin clutch-e46 m3 to an 330d ZF 5-speed gearbox.
I know for sure that m3 clutch disc hub diameter is bigger than the one from 330i ZF 5-speed gearbox.
Does anyone know if an e46 m3 clutch would fit on 330d ZF 5-speed input shaft?
Does anyone know which is the 330d clutch disc hub diameter? Or the 330d ZF 5-speed gearbox input shaft diameter?
Thx a lot for any advice in this matter.

e46 m3 clutch shuld fit to the 330d 5spd box. Just for my interest what is your plan? Do you want to fit a Diesel Gearbox to an i/m3 motor or do you want to use the twin disc clutch on an Diesel car?

I'm searching for an twindisc clutch (and DMF!!!) setup which holds 1000 Nm and more for a 330d 6spd

You're my star man.
I have an e46 sedan 330i which in less than 2 weeks will become hmm.. let's say m50b28-30 engine with turbo app. Hope to get aprox 650hp.
M50 engine block, 2,8 cranck, 330i cam shafts, forged pistons & rods, cometic head gasket and ARP studs. My mechanic will keep the double vanos from my 330i engine for this turbo application.
All turbo parts are ready to fit in.
Regarding the clutch&gearbox subject, I'll swap my 330i zf 5-speed gearbox with a 330d ZF 5-speed gearbox which is more resistent. And is just around 50 euro in Romania.
So, this 725 twin clutch which is designated for m3... you can see the pics... according to what you're saying, should fit into 330d gearbox
Just in case, this is my whatsapp +40757038038
Would be much easier for me to chat there and maybe to learn more things from you ref to my project.
I'm more than willing to share this project specifications.. we'll see at the end of spring the results.
Thx a lot for updates jd improved

Ok just for your interest and I hope you know that already, the Diesel Engines are sitting in another angle to the chassis. The main bolt pattern is the same on m50 and the e46 Diesels (e60 and e90 3L Diesels have a bigger clutch bell housing) but it is rotated by around 10 deg. Some people has mounted Diesel Gearboxes on petrol cars, as you can see in the picture below, but it is not plug and play.

The benefit of the diesel gearbox to the petrol engine would be, if you're willing to make the engine mounts match the 10 degree change, your engine is rotated for a bigger top mount turbo setup!

I'm having issues with my 330i 6 speed transmission and thinking of replacing it with the m3 version. I would consider replacing with a diesel gear box if it easily modified and further benefits over the m3.

Sure, but what does this do to the oil pickup?

Depends how extreme you go. From what I've seen on Swedish forums is the minor rotation from the diesel trans doesn't mess with things too much.. But I'm not speaking from personal experience, just what I've seen.

The pro's at PPF have done this, and I believe they sell the modified components for a proper (worry free) vertical setup.
