rockford pbr300x4 install in cabrio

To start off I have no pics, so forget the "worthless" comments. I just want to let people know that with a speaker upgrade and some time and effort, this amp works and sounds great compared to stock hk and also bsw stage 1. In a nutshell, i installed a polk audio 6.5" component set in the front doors, and 4" coaxial polks in an adapter bracket in the rear. For the amp, like many other posts, i cut off factory wires from the amp plug. What i feel is different is that i cut the rca ends off the harness that is included with the amp, and directly attached them to the low level wires from the headunit. I used the factory wires to the respective speakers, and mounted external crossovers behind the aluminum panel on the drivers side behind the rear seatback. Without a line output converter, it works and sounds great. Plus, with only four small holes, it mounted to the hk amp bracket. Just an fyi for anyone brave enough to hack up the factory plugs. I am super happy with how much better it sounds, plus half the $ of my bsw speaker "upgrade".
