Very RARE.....Honda with BMW AC Schnitzer Sports Option !! Verrrry RARE !

LOOK: at my 1991 Honda Civic DX winter beater!! verrrry rare !!!

What we have here, appears to be a ONE-FAMILY-OWNER 1991 Honda Civic DX with the ULTRA-RARE .....BMW AC Schnitzer Sports Option.

Very Rare.

From my googling,....this model didn't go over very well, cause the Japanese & the Krauts never really got along.....(they tried, but after WW2 they learned their lesson to jus' keep the car making to themselves. This ULTRA RARE model was trialled, but never "took off", and "I" have one of these ULTRA RARE models....very few were made..... )

Red Mess'ican Dingle Balls were a Dealer Add Option...for an extra $22 for front & rear windows.

What do E46 members think of this Ultra-Rare Honda w/ BMW AC Schnitzer Option ??

I'm sure its really a stellar achievement to buy a five thousand dollar car, pimp it out craigslist wheels, and slap on some ebay springs.

Congratulations, your car is a disaster.

well,..it is a one-family owned Honda. I can vouch for that.

It's pretty difficult for me to prove the BMW AC Schnitzer Sports Option as I have no papers to prove,...but I'm pretty sure, it's authentic.....& that it's verrry RARE.

Those dingle balls are actually calibrated to measure G-forces in a turn.

^ I'm SO glad you bring that up, because her name is " Eileen " . She tends to have a stream of cars behind her going uphill. Com'ON Eileen !!

Very few ppl know this, but the Japanese & the Krauts used those Mess'can Dingle Balls as a balance. They engineered them to counter-act the incredible G-Forces this MODEL gets around tight corners. Through my reading on Wiki & Google, the 2 manufacturers decided on the RED dingle balls, versus other colors, because mosquitos are not attracted to RED. The engineers were working in a very wet, almost swampy area in Japan, to create this ultra-rare model,... this climate tended to attract mosquitos. Of course, we all know that Mosquitos are not attracted to red, but rather darker colors. I was quite surprised as to learn this tidbit of information.

Eileen is currently not for sale, as she is in a constant state of restoration & I must try to keep the mileage low (of course).

And they match the color of the seat belt buttons.

That's tight design.

This makes me wish I had saved the photo of the Toyota Paseo on craigslist a while back with an E36 M3 front bumper, side skirts, nose panel, headlights, mirrors, and tail lights. Someone put a lot of effort into it. Misguided effort, but effort nonetheless.

I dunno, but you gotta admit, it's shockingly clean for a Honda that old.

I don't know why you keep calling it a honda. It's quite clearly a BMW. Do you need me to point out the badges?
