^ Any way to enable it's function? Or how easy/hard is it to flash the OEM Samsung Touchwiz onto the phone?

It does on the HTC One, from what I've read the SGS4 still doesn't have the IR function.

Re: Galaxy S4

There are some IR remote apps on the play store, maybe those will let you get the functionality

Here's a free one

I'm still rocking the Gnex, haven't really felt a need to upgrade and lose my unlimited data yet.

One would think that Samsung would know better than some fanboi on the internetz.
Only 3 months from introduction (at $199) the S4 is down to $149.

iPhone prices keep steady until the next model is introduced.

I would prefer to pay $149 rather than $199 personally, but that's just me.

What carriers charge on contract doesn't matter anyways. Samsung and Apple's profits from smartphone sales are neck and neck right now. One of them is going up and the other down though. Guess which is which.

Lolwut. This is the exact mind and reasoning of an iSheep.

Just wondering, where exactly were you going with that statement? You don't seriously believe that a higher price point is the result of a quality product, right?

Supposedly those apps don't work because the functionality for the IR remote is built into touch wiz.

I'm on the fence really. I want the GPE for the lack of bloat ware but still want some of the stuff from touch wiz.

You don't want anything to do with TouchWiz.
