e-cig reviews please?

I need to quit smoking.

Patch...not so much. Gum...yech!

I haven't tried e-cig but have heard some are good, some not so much.

I'd also heard there are refillable ones.

If you have suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Thank you!

Try Chantix. It worked for me until I forgot why I quit smoking and stated smoking again. My insurance doesn't cover it so I was out of pocket for like 140/mo. for three months or so. Time to go hit the doctor up for a script again. I committed myself to ecigs once and they are 90% there but that remaining 10% really made it hard for me to stay with it.

I have been using these green smart living e-cigs for about a month and really like them. They have a charger that plugs into a usb with different levels of potency, if you are trying to ween off just like the patches and gum. They produce a decent amount of fake smoke and in MN they are only about 20 bucks. I have been a smoker for over 15 years and am off real smokes all together.

If you want to see what e-cigs are all about just buy one of the cheap ones from the gas station for about 5-6 bucks. Here is a link to the ones I am using.

I need to quit as well Doug.

Tock172 has a good setup, that he shared with me a few months ago.
I will look for the links that he sent me.

Over the years, I have tried:
Njoy
BLU
Square (disposable)

I prefer a design that has a button, that turns the atomizer on. "Square has this setup." However i don't like that they're disposable.

What I find with the other e cigarettes, that don't use a button, (ones that are actuated by simply pulling/dragging for a puff.) They seem more susceptible to non-use battery drain.

Back with links...

Best of luck my friend.

I"ll give an honest input. A lot of my friends switched to e-cigs within the past year. I would say about 8/10 were satisfied with it. They still remain cigarette free ! I used to think e-cigs were a waste of money and just another marketing ploy but after seeing so many people actually quit, I definitely know it works.

Just find your perfect flavor and I"m sure you won't look back.

Hold my hand, Doug. I am currently quitting smoking.

I'm on Chantix. For the first week I was still smoking analogs although the Chantix made them taste like absolute crap. I didn't WANT to smoke, but it's such a huge habit. Like ceremony. After eating, taking a break at work, busting a nut, burning down a house. I've started vaping again with 0 nicotine liquid and it seems to be working to fulfill the physical habit of smoking.

I'll probably lose interest in vaping like I have in the past and the hope is I'll give up on vaping again and just do nothing.

If you do vape don't get liquid that's supposed to taste like tobacco.

So I had one puff of my new, tobacco flavor blu...not bad...but Choxor, I'll try other flavors, I think. I'll have to check links for these other brands. I bought a 400 puff blue and a logic (that costs less and has 2 cartridges with it.

I'd like a button, I think...and will try other flavors.

I'm afraid of Chantix...I saw the commercials for its side effects...which to me, sounded worse than smoking! I don't want to have suicidal dreams and stuff...I've got enough on my plate!

I'm glad to hear the e-cigs work...and I heard they're legal on planes...which would be awesome...in restaurants. I can e-smoke much more than I smoked!

Choxor, you have to update your sig file...you understand when I read your post and then see your sig, how can I not think that's you and that I'm talking to a moron? Time to swap in Marisa.

Oh, loved that 0 nic vapor...what company puts that stuff out...didn't see it on blu.

Okay guys...Michael, et. al., get your e-cig with your next pack. I took one puff on the way back from the shop about 20 mins ago and don't want a cigarette. I'm at just over a pack a day...but diet cigs...Marlboro Mediums.

BTW, e-cigs seem much cheaper too.

Picked up a disposable Master Vape in grape flavor. It was $7 (500 puffs)

Master vape also has a refillable system, the smoke shop sells it for $28 which includes:
Charger
Atomizer
Everything except the nicotine juice.
Nicotine liquid available in bottles of assorted flavors at $6.99

I figured I would try the disposable version first, before committing 40 or so dollars to the refillable/rechargeable setup...so far its pretty good, flavor isn't too grape-y, and hits pretty hard with a deep enough pull.

Also +1 to Choxor's advice regarding avoiding tobacco flavored vapr

I took Chantix once and started smoking again a few months later (stupid, stupid). It effects everyone differently--personally, I was like a girl on her period for a week or two while quitting. No suicidal thoughts or anything, just a continuous hair-trigger awful mood. That said, I didn't really think about smoking at all, much less have a craving. It works, and I'd recommend trying it if you're serious.

In for more info on the e-cigs.

At my work, we had a ton of smokers. One of the drivers got into these e cigs and pretty much everyone switched to them. All the ex smokers seem really satisfied. It's not one of the gas station varieties, it's some kind of sophisticated vaping contraption. Kit is like $40. I can get you more info if you want.

Doug ive only purchased one E-cig that was well over 3 years ago when it just started getting popular in the streets and of coarse it was a total crap product.
Although I haven't picked one up since then, I can tell you based on my experiences with e-cigs that my friends carry and the best suggestion I can give you is to buy a e-cig that can be used more than once and has at least over a year of warranty.
These gadgets tend not to be that reliable like your car..
