Buying Coolant

Planning to replace my expansion tank and automatic thermostat this weekend as I have a very slight leak and have just been keeping it topped up with distilled water.

I was just wondering; everyone is saying to buy BMW coolant which I agree with but I can't seem to find it to purchase besides Amazon or OS.

Do I just walk into BMW and ask for coolant? Anything specific? Just walk in and ask for the blue ****?

I just bought mine from the dealer. It's not too expensive.

Buying Coolant

Get it at the dealer or pelicanparts.com has it. And usually have fast free shipping.

My dealer through it in for free with an expansion tank. They also said that you do not need to worry about using distilled water these days. That's old school.

Nope. It was free. He puts stuff on his own account and I pay him cash. If he's making a little side earn, good on him. I'm getting cheaper parts anyway.

Do Imparts or Clickable stock the coolant? Can't find it on their sites...

What size bottles does it come in and how much if its from the dealer?

You must mix bmw coolant 50:50 with des tilled water. I pay $15 a jug at local dealership. It comes in a gallon jug, once mixed it's 2 gallons.

About $20-$25
That's unmixed. So you're technically getting to containers of antifreeze mix

sorry. That's what it goes for in the USA
