Hello from Orlando, Florida

Howdy forum people. Just came back to bmw after nearly 27 years without one, unless you don't count the motorcycles. My First was a 79 e21 and have had the fever ever since. Last week I picked up an e46 convert with uber complete service history. Apparently my cars p/o put the service writers kid through college. This guy must have never said no to anything the service writer suggested. This car wants for nothing and I couldn't be happier. Now my job is to keep it going with proper service and upgrades as needed or before.

So before I make an a$$ of myself by asking this usual n00b questions, I'll have a look around. Or if there's a Captain Obvious/ new owner basics sticky, feel free to point me there.

My first acquisitions are going to be for basic services. Tools and or anything to reset the SI messages, a shop manual and any advice I can get to keep it in top condition.
