Cheers! Its a pretty rare shade I think, even here in england where it was readily available to new buyers. Theres only one I know of thats nearby and I only spotted it recently.

Nope, metallic mystic blue. Depending on where you're from it may not have been available, as it was part of the custom build "BMW Individual" package, which wasnt available in the US due to something to do with the purchase laws?
If anyone knows the terminology and a bit more detail it'll make more sense...?

That's odd, because they offered Mystic Blue metallic on the post-facelift E46s over here. It replaced Topaz Blue. I've owned both. And it looks nothing like that color. Nowhere near as good, actually. Unless the saturation is off on these pictures...

Topaz blue was available over here too both pre and post facelift, the same as mystic blue metallic. Makes me wonder if theres a difference between the eu colours and the us colors?
The shots outside the house were normal sunlight slightly shaded by the house. Outside work with the puddle and bumper shots the sun was blazing brilliantly in a really bright early spring evening.

Or.... after a google search of the two colours. ... mine may have been completely resprayed after its accident in 2005....? Im positive the strut mount says bmw individual mystic blue metallic though. Will have to double check incase I need to rename this thread!

Edit: I can confirm I am a plank and have got my cars colour mixed up with my wax.

It is velvet blue metallic. And I cant rename the thread!

Edit again, can I change my username? Roflmao!
