Quote:
Three Olympia schools were put on lockdown Tuesday morning as police scoured the area searching for a man in a ski mask carrying a rifle.

The police were called at around 7:45 a.m. after the man was spotted on Quince Street Northeast and San Francisco Avenue Northeast walking in the direction of Roosevelt Elementary School, according to Olympia Police spokesperson Laura Wohl.

UPDATE: Olympia detectives have interviewed a man who fits the description of a person who was reportedly carrying a rifle near two local schools Tuesday morning, and the "long black object" in his hand was in fact an umbrella, according to Olympia police.

Yeah, this is madness. People are wayyyyy too jittery at the moment. I mean, this and the kids in schools being disciplined for army shirts, toy soldiers, and the universal pistol hand signal? please...

JJ thinks everyone is sheeple. He knows the truth, everyone else is blind to it.

Its not increased awareness or hypersensitivity; its paranoia. People are seeing things that don't exist. Its preposterous. Shut down a school because someone was seen with a black object walking down the street? Are you kidding me?

People need to chill the fvck out.

I don't disagree with you, but I think there is a difference between being paranoid/hypersensitive/having higher awareness than being sheeple. At least in my mind, and how I see the use of the word sheeple.

After major traumatic events it's typically human nature to be paranoid, display knee jerk reactions, etc.

JJ, your arguments are tired. They're used to justify every injustice and act of violence on earth. The real question is whether or not you'll ever stop being the NRA's mouthpiece and get a voice of your own.

lol, I remember when this same thing happened at ECU here in NC a few years ago. The kid they were looking for was sitting there in lockdown with his umbrella

A random passerby saw it and thought it was a gun.
