My Ride: still a gay 135i
my E30 woman in blue durango pulled out in front of me, I slammed on the brakes and no ABS caused it to lock up, shot over into oncoming traffic and hopped over a curb, crossed back into oncoming traffic and came to rest in the original lane I was in.

And in it's better days

With a beast under the hood

Building the beast

sorry for the photo whoring, But all in all this resulted in me upgrading to a 135i, so I can't complain.

Yeah, one time a friend of mine got his whole car keyed. That was bad enough, but about a week after it all got repainted, a tow truck tried towing his car out of his girlfriend's apartment parking lot, and the truck ripped his fresh front bumper in half and drove away. Once that was settled and fixed, a week later a truck with a hitch backed up right into the middle of his hood and broke both headlights and everything. That got fixed and he hasn't driven it more than 2000 miles since. Poor thing.

Here's a pic of mine, after it got keyed last year

Wow. I wonder what the other person did after they hit it, if they even did anything at all.

These cars turn people into speed addicts lol I love it but I already also learned my lesson the hard way. It hurts to see my baby like that
I'm still searching for parts so in the mean time is just sitting in my garage where I have to look at it every day :-(

LOL the cop asked me if I was speeding after my accident. I honestly can say no which I think saved my life. I feel ya on the hurt part. I was thinking about all the kewl stories (events) I had my 328ci. Just to start off, the first day I test drove it. The dealer let me take her home for a week. Before I left the lot he gave me a run down on the cool stuff that's on the car. When the gas light came on I pulled into a gas station. For two minutes I walked around the car trying to figure out how to open the gas tank lol. Right before I was about to SCREAM, the dealer calls and directs me and said "since it's Friday keep the car until Monday". When I returned he went over the entire car. lol

Now I get to start new ones.

I walked out with no mayor injuries thank God! Back pain, carpal tunnel on both wrists, and the emotional disappointment... Could have been a lot worse.

You're planning on rebuilding THAT?!

That front passenger side looks crippled. Total it and start fresh with something that doesn't have major accident history. That car will never be the same after this.

I feel you on this, I was having a bad day and got behind someone slow. Once we got to a stop light I thought it would be a good idea to blow past this guy. Needless to say this was a bad idea and I ended up losing traction and ended up in the median. LUCKILY all that happened was a bent strut and control arm, and some minor cosmetic damage.
Still live with the emotional burden of lying to my parents and... others, about what happened. But.. it is what it is.

I didn't have the same luck my mom happened to be driving a few cars behind me and saw the accident, she was about to have a heart attach crying unconsolably, I had to calm her down, that's the part that hurt the most, seeing her like that.

It is one of those phone calls a parent never wants to receive, "Mom... I had an accident.... the car is totaled!" When I got home and mom saw me (I was 21 then), she nearly dropped on the ground filled with emotion because I was alright. She hated the darn car anyway lol

An old friend used to say "To be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid!" ... Makes sense now, I guess...
