I believe you're right. I actually read the resistance at each pin and everything was good but that doesn't mean it's making a good connection to the box. The same cheap connectors are used the aem side too. I think im going to replace the jumper harness and if that doesn't solve it replace the main harness between the jumper box and aem.

My Ride: E46 M3 HPF stage 2.5
the same situation happened to my HPF 2.5. More unfortunately, one of my jumper harness pins is burnt... I'll sent ems/jumper box/harness to HPF today, let em check the log and see hat happened. Thanks for all your post, it did helps.

That's what happened to me, bad continuity creates heat.

Problem fixed. InDiGIOM3 was correct it was the small jumper plug, repaired it and the car runs perfect.
