Anti-gun people here on this forum probably aren't even participating anymore, because the scale is so tipped towards gun owners.

I'm a liberal that supports the 2nd amendment conditionally. Y'all are mostly selfish and hold yourself above the greater good unconditionally.

I don't support an assault weapons ban at the federal level. States can do what they want if there is no mirror 2A provision in their state constitutions.

article 2, section 4 of the new york civil rights law reads

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms cannot be infringed"

it is even worded in a more absolute way (cannot as opposed to shall not).

No,because of all the common sense reasons. And also because Military, police, and Gov Officials are all people as well. They are groups and organizations made up of citizens whos rights to protect themselves and other should be equal to every other American.

Voted no.....glad I live in a state where it would never fly. I don't think it would pass at the federal level, either.

criminals aren't going to stop because there is a new law, its citizens that follow the laws that will be hurt. What other law that punishes 99.9% of law abiding citizens and stops .1% of criminals would EVER pass?

Why do you feel states should have the power to change the US constitution to their liking?

I'd support it if I honestly thought it would do any good. Everyone knows it'll just punish the law abiding citizens and the bad/ crazies will still find a way. You could still do just as mic harm with a pump shotgun or pistol. I don't even have an AR but I have a glock with hi-cap mags and a saiga 12. Those would just be next : (

You can do more harm with less risk to yourself with a car and a crowd of people.

This just in, Mississippi voted to get rid of the thirteenth amendment.

Utah is not going to respect the 21st.

California says "we don't need a bill of rights".
