I don't think you would survive in that world small fry. Stay in your world of privilege and gated communities.

I'm from gun-hating liberal Canada, and I strongly agree with the tar/feather solution to any of you not enjoying the security of an assault style weapon. My dad has a few sks's were aloud to have up here that are real fun

Obvious? Please enlighten us. If it is so obvious, you should be able to explain in 1 sentence

Then you surely must support a ban on knives too since they kill more people every year than "assault weapons".

PS: please enlighten me why a flash suppressor, barrel shroud or a grip makes an AR15 more deadly.

Anxiously awaiting your input which I'm sure is based on empirical statistics, facts and not any canned statements from politicians or media.

You've clearly done your own research, right?

Despite the fact that I am going to believe this is sarcasm, I will include, that such a statement would come from someone living in a state that is following the other anti constitutional rights states.

When it boils down to it, this is the number one reason people have for not banning assault weapons. Just everyone admit it already.

People want weed to be legal cause it's fun to get high. It's not a "medicine," it's not the be all end all solution to economic recovery.

People want abortion to be illegal because they want their religion to be followed.

People want certain guns to be legal because it's fun to shoot them.

People need to stop pussyfooting around and just admit what they want. The underlying reason to pretty much all this **** is "It's fun."

Only way that can happen is with an article 5 convention. I never said states can change the federal constitution at will.

It's usually considered a weapon with a fire select. SAFE/SEMI/AUTO(or 3-round burst). Now it's just liberalspeak for scary black rifles.

You will never win against JJ no matter how many times you prove him wrong. Everything he says is a trump card, and all he has to do is feel he got one up to declare victory. Discourse with JJ = waste of time.

That would be an "assault rifle".

Can you define "assault weapon" and explain what makes them more deadly than a "non-assault weapon"?

incorrect. That's an assault rifle and they've already been banned for decades. 1968 to be accurate

If you're going to take a position to ban something for the whole country, at least know what you're trying to ban. Make sense?

well that's your opinion. The fact is that he was wrong

You don't find an issue with people trying to ban things and make some very serious changes to our country without even knowing what they are talking about? Scary

JonJon is very correct here.

Especially the bold. If something directly affects you, it is your responsibility to know precisely what they are talking about and wanting to define. Definitions in laws are key. Anyone can spin a definition to mean something very broad, and politicians are extremely good at doing so to get what they want.
