One analysis I saw showed the correlation between IQ and salary to be + .3- which I think is depressingly weak!

There were some people with IQs of ~90 making $150k+/yr

Though of another one...

Why the eff do people clip their fingernails at work? Surprisingly enough, I see it enough on occasion to bring it up? Do it in your own goddamn bathroom weirdo.

Unsanitary people who do not wash their hands, though that goes for everywhere not just work.

People who are paid hourly and work off the clock are the worst but people paid salary who show up late and leave early when there is sh1t needing done are a close second

1. People that relate personal stories in intimate detail at work, and without any takeaway for the listener.. Just irrelevant stories that make you uncomfortable and squirm. I don't need to know about your wife's medical issues or that female gas station attendant you've been flirting with when I'm trying to get work done. That's just not professional or intelligent. Put a lid on that ish and save it for the right occasion with the right people. Also people that use poor grammar/diction/language skills. 'Nucular' instead of 'nuclear', 'BFSC' instead of 'BSFC'. Also, I don't like it when I'm working at 100 mph and you stroll up to make some random mundane conversation. Pay attention to what the other person is doing. Just because you have finished your work (or don't care to finish it), doesn't mean that others are in the same state. Also people that like to occupy about 90% of a 1-1 conversation. That's obnoxious. Don't cut me off in the middle of a sentence and please try to spend more time listening isntead of droning on.

2. People that bring up hot-button polarizing subjects like personal political views. There's some personal views and political topics that are ok for discussion at work but there's some that are distracting and not appropriate for you to drag into a conversation within the four walls of work. Have a sense for what's appropriate and what's not.

2. People that don't take care to dress smartly. No one's asking you to wear Armani to work but don't show up in crumpled clothes smelling like you haven't showered in days. Gets worse around Thursday. Iron your clothes, shower and shave frequently.

3. People that can't stay focused and go off on tangents in meetings. I asked you a question and that question has one (or more) answers. I don't need to know how it relates to the polar ice cap or your ex-wife's stepkids.

4. People that call 2+ hr meetings. And multiple times in the same week with slightly different groups of people. Condense it, keep the topic focused and don't have redundant meetings.

/rant. Thanks for reading.
